Spot the Ten Ladybug

Game Rules

This game can be played with 2-8 players. You can offer this game in two different ways. Play to combine numbers to make ten or play to match the number and digit. You receive the ladybugs (pimpajoentjes) with only digits and digit with quantity. You also receive the dots with digit + quantity or only quantity on dice. You can choose which version you want to use.

Variant 1: Make 10: Place 10 or 20 dots spread out on the table with the black side facing up. Each player chooses a color ladybug. Each turn you flip over a black dot. Can you make 10 together with this number and a number on your ladybug? For example: 5 and 5 is 10. If yes, you may place the black dot on top of your ladybug. If not, flip the dot back over and your turn is over. If you take a dot off the table, place a new one back until they are gone. Continue until one player has collected all the dots back on the back of their ladybug first.

Variant 2: Number & quantity match: Place the dots on the table (black side up). Each player chooses a color ladybug. Each turn you flip over a dot. Do you have the same number/quantity on your ladybug? If yes, you may place the dot on top. If not, flip the dot back over and your turn is over. If you take a dot off the table, place a new one back until they are gone. Continue until one player has collected all the dots back on the back of their ladybug first.

We recommend the oldest preschoolers! Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
