Rules of the game
This game can be played with 2-4 players in 2 different ways. Either you play with the watering cans with letters on them to practice the initial sound of letters in words. Or you play with the syllable count cards to practice word segments.
VARIANT 1: Place the watering cans with the letters facing down on the table. Each player receives a stack of square cards. Place a bell in the center of the table. Each player takes turns flipping over 1 watering can, looking at the letter. How does this letter sound? All players now search their top card for a word that starts with the same letter. If you have a word on your card, quickly press the bell! If you are the fastest, you may turn your card over to a discard pile. Flip the watering can back over. If you don't have a word with this letter, you cannot do anything this turn. The first player to discard all their cards is the winner!
VARIANT 2: Make a reversed stack of the counting cards. Each player has the same number of square cards in a stack in front of them. Take turns flipping over 1 counting card. Everyone looks at their card. Do you have a word that has the same number of pieces in it? Break them into pieces and listen carefully. If so, ring the bell quickly! The first one to lay down all their cards is the winner!
