Spring Letter Game

This game can be played with 2-4 players in 2 different ways. You can either play with the watering cans with letters on them to practice the initial sound of letters in words, or you can play with the syllable count cards to practice word parts.

VARIANT 1: Place the watering cans with the letters upside down on the table. Each player gets a stack of square cards. Place a bell in the middle of the table. Each player takes turns flipping over 1 watering can, look at the letter. How does this letter sound? All players now look at the top card for a word where they hear the same letter at the beginning. If you have a word on your card, quickly press the bell! If you are the fastest, you may turn your card over into a discard pile. Flip the watering can back over. If you don't have a word with this letter, you cannot do anything this turn. The first player to discard all their cards is the winner!

VARIANT 2: Make a face-down stack of the count cards. Each player has an equal number of square cards in a stack in front of them. Each player takes turns flipping over 1 count card. Everyone looks at their card. Do you have a word where you hear the same number of parts? Break them into pieces and listen carefully. If yes, quickly press the bell! The first to discard all cards is the winner!

The oldest preschoolers are our recommendation! Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
