Spring Association Game

Game Rules
This game can be played with 2-8 players. Each player chooses a color card (spring researcher) and also takes the matching pawn card. All players start on the magnifying glass at ‘start’ on the game board. Each player takes turns rolling the dice, counts, and moves their pawn (spring researcher card in a stand or concrete material as a pawn) on the game board. Look at and name the creepy-crawly or insect you land on. Think carefully and find one or more objects, characteristics, or elements that match the creepy-crawly you are on. For example: wings fit both a mosquito, butterfly, fly, and bee. The earth fits the worm, honey fits the bee, antennae fit beetle, bee, and ant. Make the connection or association between the creepy-crawlies and the objects or characteristics. Then cover them with the round token of the creepy-crawly or insect. Try to have as many creepy-crawly tokens on your card as possible before you reach the end (the jar or insect container). Who reaches the jar fastest with the magnifying glass and collects the most creepy-crawlies? Everyone must first reach the end, then we count who has placed the most creepy-crawly tokens on their card. That player is the best spring researcher / detective. We have a fastest and a best researcher, so two winners.
Tip
As a pawn, you can use concrete materials like pegged dolls or creepy-crawly figurines. Or you can use our researcher cards and attach them to a stand or a block (such as wood or Duplo).
Level
We recommend this for the oldest preschoolers! Depending on your class group, you can decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
