Game rules
These cards can be offered in small groups, corner activities, or during circle time. Record the clips per card in advance, max. 30 seconds each. Press play under the picture and set the button at the top to REC. Then slide the button to PLAY to play and listen. Slide the cards of the theme into the slots. Keep the legend at hand. In the exercise “Letter synthesis / analysis,” we look for the picture where you also hear the same letter at the beginning or break the word into syllables and let the preschoolers reassemble and search for the word. Each child takes turns drawing a letter/word card (e.g., from a touch bag). Which letter/word is on it? How does this letter sound? Do you know a word with the same letter at the beginning? Now search on the speech wall. If you think you have found the correct picture, press the green PLAY button to listen. Is it correct? Fantastic, you get 1 point (collect with concrete materials). Play in rounds, each child may draw 5 cards. The child who has collected the most points at the end is the winner(s)! There are many other game forms possible with these speech wall cards.
