Game rules
This material contains 6 boys and 6 girls stringing cards to get you started. These contribute to fine motor development. Before using the material, laminate the cards and punch a hole in the indicated circles with a single hole punch or awl. Make sure the holes are wide enough like the circles they indicate to put a lace top through. The children start at the bottom or top and put the lace through a hole, grab it with the other finger and pull it through. Now you continue from hole to hole (your own choice) to mummify the baby. You can use thicker white laces for this or colored ones! TIP: As a game you can also use the color cards and add a color die. Then the children can put a lace through the hole with the correct color reference each turn. Find the right one on your stringing card. Or as a competition - you add a regular die and have everyone start at the same place. Dice and count how many times can your lace go through the holes?! Be the first to try to completely wrap / mummify your baby in the sarcophagus as a mummy.
TIPTo further strengthen the stringing cards, you can stick them to a piece of cardboard after laminating and cut them out all around. Then they have a slightly reinforced surface. Only then do you pierce the holes with an awl.
