Before the game can start, attach the 2 parts of the game board together. Shuffle the cards and make a stack. This game can be played with 4. Each player chooses a pawn (color piet). You can use the pawn cards or cut out the figures. All piets start on the image of their own color. You can offer this race in 3 different ways to differentiate.

Game mode 1, Loose cards: Each player takes turns drawing one card from the stack and lays it open. What object is on it? What color is it, so which piet does the object belong to? For example: feather, hat, shoe, bag, clothing, etc. Only the player with the piet of the same color as the object may move their piet pawn one step forward on the game board. Continue until someone reaches the chimney as the end first.

Game mode 2, Spin the color: Each turn, one player may spin the C-spinner. Which color do we see? Only the player with this color piet may move one step forward.

Game mode 3, Spin the character: Each turn, one player may spin the C-spinner. Which color piet do we see? Only the player with the same color piet as the pawn may move one step forward on the game board.

TIP

You can also add a die. Then the number of steps forward is also determined and you add a counting exercise. You can also adjust game mode 1 by working with word pieces as the number of steps forward instead of associating by color.

Level

The youngest preschoolers are our recommendation! Game mode 1 adjusted according to the tip is rather recommended for the oldest preschoolers. Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
