Maxi Head to Toe Race

Before the game can begin, you attach the 2 parts of the game board together. Shuffle the body part cards and make a face-down stack. This game can be played with 2-5 players. Each player chooses a pawn (for example: People like me from Yellowdoor). All pawns choose a skin color head to start on the game board. Each player takes turns drawing one card from the stack and lays it face up. Which body part is on it? Clap and break this word into syllables. How many pieces do you hear in the word? You may move your pawn forward the same number of spaces on the game board. Continue until someone reaches the feet first. Then you are the winner of the head-to-toe race.

TIP

"Instead of word pieces, you can also integrate logical thinking and decide the number of steps by asking the question 'How many times do we have this body part?'. For example: Eyebrows 2 pieces = 2 steps, Nails on your hand 5 pieces = 5 steps, Nose 1 piece = 1 step, etc..."
