Maxi Easter Race

Before the game can begin, attach the 2 parts of the game board together. Shuffle the cards and make a stack. This game can be played with 5 players. Each player chooses a colour Easter bunny child as a game piece. You can use the game piece cards or cut out the figures along the dotted line. All game pieces start on the image of their chosen pastel colour. You can offer this race in 3 different ways to differentiate.

Game mode 1, Word parts: Each player takes turns drawing one card from the stack and lays it open. Which object or character is on it? Clap and split this word into word parts / syllables. How many parts do you hear in the word (with or without article)? You may move your game piece forward as many spaces on the game board. Continue until someone reaches the end (the Easter basket) first.

Game mode 2, Spin the colour: Each turn one player may spin the C-spinner. Which colour Easter egg do we see? Only the player with the Easter bunny in the same colour may move one step forward.

Game mode 3, Spin the character: Each turn one player may spin the C-spinner. Which Easter bunny child do we see? Only the player with this Easter bunny as a game piece may move one step forward.

TIP

You can also add a dice to game modes 2 and 3. Then the number of steps forward is also determined and you add a counting exercise. If you do not have a C-spinner, you can also put the cards and the Easter bunny cards separately in a bag. Let the children grab in a feel bag.

Game mode 1, the oldest preschoolers is our recommendation! Game modes 2 and 3, the youngest preschoolers is our recommendation! Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
