Maxi Christmas Ride Race

Before the game can start, attach the 2 parts of the game board together. Cut and fold the extra piece to fit the gingerbread house and place the house on the game board. Shuffle the Christmas cards and make a face-down pile. This game can be played with 4 players. Each player chooses a pawn (color car with Christmas tree). You can use the pawn cards or cut out the car figures. All pawns stand on the image of their matching color Christmas tree to start on the game board. You can offer this race in 3 different ways to differentiate.

Game mode 1, Word parts: Each player takes turns drawing one card from the pile and lays it open. Which Christmas object is on it? Clap and divide this word into word parts / syllables. How many parts do you hear in the word (without article)? You may move your pawn forward that many spaces on the game board. Continue until someone reaches the end first.

Game mode 2, Spin the color: Each turn, one player may spin the C-spinner. Which color light do we see? Only the player with the same color car with Christmas tree may move one step forward.

Game mode 3, Spin and connect: Each turn, one player may spin the C-spinner. Which color Christmas tree do we see? Only the player with the same color pawn may move one step forward (the car may continue driving).

TIP

You can also add a die to game modes 2 and 3. Then the number of steps forward is also determined and you add a counting exercise.

Level

Game mode 1, the oldest preschoolers is our recommendation! Game modes 2 and 3, the youngest preschoolers is our recommendation! Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
