Jellyfish Jack
Rules of the game
This game can be offered as an independent activity or as a guided game. These assignment cards to decorate the tentacles of Kareltje's jellyfish contain 3 variants. You will receive a jellyfish without numbers or with numbers up to 6 in numbers or dots. Decide for yourself what is easiest for your class. Punch small holes at the bottom of the jellyfish and use chenille wire to attach the tentacles.
Variant 1: Counting. Count the number of dots, fingers or read the number. Take an equal number of beads of the correct color and place them on the tentacles of your jellyfish (either freely or according to the number/quantity indicated on the jellyfish). You can offer this as a game by, for example, adding a color dice.
Variant 2: Roll the dice. Dice, count and look at the card. Which color bead can you use? Place that color bead on the tentacle under the same number or free choice. Continue until you have a bead of each color on your card on the tentacles. Or roll the dice with 6 dice and take the correct color bead for each number.
Variant 3: Pattern. Follow the color pattern of 2,3 or 4 in series to fill in the tentacles of your jellyfish.
