Farm Association Game

Game Rules

This game can be played with 2-8 players. Each player chooses a color card (farmer or farmer’s wife) and also takes the matching pawn card. All players start on the tractor at ‘start’ on the game board. Each player takes turns rolling the dice, counts, and moves their pawn (farmer or farmer’s wife card in a stand or concrete material as a pawn) on the game board. Look at and name the farm animal you land on. Think carefully and find one or more objects, food, or animals that match the farm animal you are on. For example: Cheese fits both a cow and the mouse, explain why? Explain the connection or association between the farm animals and the objects. Then cover them with the round token of the animal. Try to have as many farm animal tokens on your card as possible before you reach the end (the farm). Who reaches the farm fastest with the tractor? Everyone must first reach the farm, then we count who has placed the most animal tokens on his/her card. That player is the best farmer/farmer’s wife. We have a fastest and a best farmer/farmer’s wife as winners.

Tip

As a pawn, you can use concrete materials such as Peg Doll figures or animal figurines. Or you can use our farmer/farmer’s wife cards and attach them to a stand or block.

Level

We recommend this for the oldest preschoolers! Depending on your class group, you decide whether this bundle is feasible or not.
