The Steamboat

This game can be played as a guided game or offered as an independent activity in 4 variants and 2 levels. You can choose to play with a steamboat of 6 or 8 places to fill with parcels. Each player chooses a steamboat color.

Variant 1: Counting shape and color. Count the number of balls, fingers or read the number. Take the same number of packages of the correct color and shape gift and place them in your steamer. As a simpler version, you also receive these cards in quantities of presents in the same color and various shapes.

Variant 2: Counting shadows. Count the number of balls, fingers or read the number. Take the same number of packages in the same color of your steamer with the correct shape as a gift. Place them in your steamer.

Variant 3: Rolling the dice. You can only play this with the steamboat of 6. Dice, count and look at the card. Which color gift can you take? Place that color gift in your steamer. Or play more challenging with the shadow and shape version. Count the dice and see, do you recognize the shape of the gift? Take a gift in your own color with the correct shape and place it in your steamer.

Variant 4: Topology. Or let the toddlers freely fill their steamboat with the right presents in the right place according to the example card. Or dice with a color dice. Look at your sample card and place the gift in the correct place.
